Squad E versus 1.Minensuchenflotille in an aerial engagement

I was able to get my Zeros out again this week and I faired better than before. I kept my planes in two elements of three in a forward V formation to allow for multiple wingmen. My opponent created a line with his planes and all of his started neutral while I had a mix.

The first couple turns were interesting. In normal fashion we outmaneuvered each other and finally shots were fired. I’m not understanding why yet, but I also accumulate boom chips faster than my opponent even when I’m very focused on my support and positioning.

That’s something I’ll be continuing to work on, but this game had its moments. We both shot down one plane, but it was the second boom chit from my plane going down that delivered me the loss.

1.Minensuchenflotille versus The Hounds in an aerial engagement

On another sortie over the Channel, a flight of Bf-110’s was intercepted by a flight of Spitfires. With lessons learned from previous encounters, the Spits gave the Zerstorers a fine beating bringing down two of their number, including the German Ace. The Bf’s did not go down without some fierce resistance of their own. Having seen one of their own knocked down by a lucky tail Gunner, the Spits turned away with two victories to their credit but leaving the skies to the Luftwaffe
