On another sortie over the Channel, a flight of Bf-110's was intercepted by a flight of Spitfires. With lessons learned from previous encounters, the Spits gave the Zerstorers a fine beating bringing down two of their number, including the German Ace. The Bf's did not go down without some fierce resistance of their own. Having seen one of their own knocked down by a lucky tail Gunner, the Spits turned away with two victories to their credit but leaving the skies to the Luftwaffe
