A d-day beach landing, US vs Germans, the allies had to dig in and took Harvey losses waiting for armoured reinforcements before they could push up the beach to assault and finally push the Germans back.

3FJD versus 6th Airbourne/ XXX corps in a fierce infantry engagement
Pegasus Bridge Hold until relieved scenario. The initial push from the German troops managed to pin the British Paras holding Café Gondrée and the fortified house opposite. They advanced quickly down the road to try to clear them out but the Paras rallied behind Major Howard and stopped them in their tracks just in time for Lord Lovat’s commandos to wrap up the flank and achieve their objective.

6th Airbourne/ XXX corps versus 21st Ribby Division in a fierce infantry engagement
Allied troops managed to storm the coastal defenses, after some early success, it turned to a stand still, and it all seemed lost until a large naval bombardment cleared the way for a bayonet charge against the in-trenched Germans

British Glider forces lead by Major Howard managed to take and Hold Pegasus Bridge, even fighting off a counter attack by a mmg mounted on a motorbike and sidecar

716th versus USA in a fierce infantry engagement
After some strong sea currents the landing craft finally allow Allied troops to get onto the beach meeting strong Axis resistance, resulting in the Allies taking heavy losses.
The Allies slowly start to gain ground up the beach but an Axis plane flys over head and does a strafing run causing further casualties to the Allies.
Several Sherman’s land on the beach and start to fire on German strongholds causing a few casualties and pinning them down. Slowly buy surely the Allies make slow ground on the advance up the beach, several units pinned by heavy machine gun fire .
A Sherman’s finally breachs the German trench , the German squad fires their panzerfaust, missis, causing panic now on the axis side. The 2nd 10 man squard leaves their trench to fire a panzerfaust, also missis and is now left in the open and leaving a gap in the German lines.
Reinforcements arrive for the axis resulting in the Sherman being immobilized but it’s to late, a 2nd Sherman breaches the line and causes havoc by firing both MMGs into the infantry. A Stug III arrives snd immobilized the 2nd Sherman but its to late. More allied troops land and charge up the beach, resulting in heavy casualties for the Axis.

21st Ribby Division versus 6th Airbourne in a fierce infantry engagement
The axis manage to keep the British in check until a naval observer managed to land a superior barrage that decimated the right flank. Once when the guns ran silent, the british pushed into the trenches and bunkers and cleared up the weakened german forces. a great game well played by both sides but a win to the british.
