A long way has been traveled since the landing beaches, but strong pockets of German resistance still exist and significantly slow the Allied progress.
The Red Devils are sent to dislodge a garrison in a small village around Caen.
The enemy forces are more numerous and better equiped than the “intelligence” would suggest.
After several hours of clashes, the Germans begin to reckless, deprived of any armoured support, by the British 6Pdr (strategically ambushed)
The German ammunition depot is finally captured.

FFI versus Platoon Storm in a fierce infantry engagement

A small force of Free French met and engaged a German patrol. After early losses to mortar fire the allies spirits were buoyed by seeing the platoon sharpshooter overpower a larger force assaulting his position. Concentrating their firepower on one squad at a time the allies won the day.

A small force of Free French clashed with a Japanese patrol for control of some Key positions. After some deadly close assaults weight of fire from the French drove the Japanese off.

352nd Pionier Battalion versus The Furious in a fierce infantry engagement

Infantry from the 4th Armored Division encountered troops from the 352nd Pionier Battalion. While the fight was bloody, the Americans annihilated the Germans in their tracks.
