An Airlanding platoon skirmished with a Sturmpioneer platoon in the hedgerows. Forward preparation by the British turned the brief battle into a terrible rout, inflicting casualties from pinpoint artillery strikes and vicious close quarters combat. Surprised and overwhelmed, the Germans retreated in a panic. A single British spotter was the lone casualty for the Allies.

Remaining elements of the Luftwaffe attempt to force air superiority to cover the retreating ground forces. Despite a valiant effort, too many planes were lost and the Germans were forced to retreat due to a stalwart British air coverage effort.

Radar reported large force of Bf-110’s escorted by Me-109’s moving toward the coast. Hurricanes and Spitfires scrambled to intercept. In intense aerial combat, our brave pilots managed to bring down four enemy aircraft for no loss of their own. The aggressive spirit of our brave Polish airmen carries another day!
