Airborne troops have invaded a nearby town where the local garrison have been alerted and with the support of an ageing hetzer are on their way to intercept.

Allied victory as the speed and tenacity of the airborne assaults proved too much for the local troops.

Battle for Hill 112.

After a brutal artillery bombardment the British advanced steadily up the hill and met German resistance, after a protracted firefight the battle ends with enough British infantry to hold the majority of the hill. Firefly earned its keep with knocking out two German tanks and blunting most of the Germans firepower.

Victory to the British forces.

The German force split their force in order to deal with the sneaky SAS, that had dropped in earlier in the day. Forest to the left of German force looked tempting for each force to gain a foot hold in. The Germans caught the flamer thrower team off guard on its advance to the forest and took out 1 man. Then the Germans were the first to get into the forest and scored 1 kill against the SAS. Then the It was the SAS’s turn flamer comes to and burns a few guys and then makes the others run away. Next turn 1st out the flamer burns the other squad and makes them run away. While all this is going on the Germans right flank is a bit more of a slog sniper’s firing and hitting but no kills. Ended up 7-5 to the SAS.

There are no pics because half the Impasta army is unpainted or proxies. Slowly building up the army. Slowly. Might have to rename them once the proxies are replaced.
This is a refight of the last battle I reported but we switched sides and now I was defending against an aggressive American counter attack.
We had both been reinforced with a tank and a mounted squad for the allies and a tank, mortar and short squad for the Imapstas.
The Americans superior artillery pinned my tank before the battle even started but was otherwise less than effective. Still, it kept my tank from doing anything but absorbing fire for 2 turns. On turn 3 I one shotted the American Sherman jumbo. Good thing too because its machine guns had been playing havoc on my infantry along my left flank. One more turn and that flank would surely have collapsed.
My armor’s usefulness came to an end next turn when a bazooka team got off a lucky shot and my crew bailed out as their tank burned to the ground. This bazooka team were among the few survivors of the attacking Americans. No matter how much I shot at them I just couldn’t roll well enough to take them out. Most of the Americans mobile forces were shot down and the game ended with a bazooka team and some support by fire MMG teams all they had left. The Inpastas held the high ground. Barely.
Victory for the Impasta’s!!
