Canadian Vs German grenadiers while the Canadians moved in land from the beaches they took an AVRE with them to clear any hard points before the Sherman’s moved off the beach. We have the Canadian infantry flanking left and the Canadian AVRE and APC Flanking right. I the middle they had a mortar and rifle platoon. Directly opposite them came under MMG fire from the woods and took cover behind a brick wall. Germans opposite FUBAR’d and ran back towards their own lines, the AVRE and APC took heavy fire from a puma and infantry but no casualties. The left flank of the Canadians was taken with ease and the decided to hunker down behind some cover to await a counter attack. On the right flank of the Canadians they were. Beating back the Germans, the puma wanting to get a flank shot lurched out and missed, next the Canadian infantry jumper out of the transport and took some German prisoners and then set the puma on fire exploding the ammo rack blowing it up. Left and right flanks now secured the Germans deciding the done want to be Surrounded decide to run away to fire for another day resulting in a Canadian victory.

The Allies had broken through the Atlantic wall only to be met by the battle hardened men from 3 Fallschirmjäger Division in bocage country. Here the Fallschirmjäger inflicted heavy losses on the unwary Allies. A heavy barrage from a lone nebelwerfer caused enough havoc to seriously slow the advance due to the large amount of pins inflicted. The elite Fallschirmjäger then concentrated fire on the separate elements trapped in the bocage. A heavy loss to the Allies. 8 victory dice for the Axis only 1 for the Allies

The British Paras held off the German force sent to reclaim Pegasus Bridge.

The German force made a good first push, driving the right flank of the brush paras back.

The right flank rallied itself and got back into the fight to stall the German advance.

The paras managed to keep the German force at bay long enough to be relieved by the supporting Commando force.

Troops from A Company were tasked with taking a German prisoner for X-Mas Hardtack. Things went FUBAR quickly, after the alarm was raised. With no good choice available other than to persevere and capture a man, the Americans fought on. Although they dragged away a man from a reinforcement squad, they lost half their men, including their lieutenant.

Another go at pegasus bridge, this time determined German forces made it passed the fortified house due to some reckless run orders but the British counter attack (several viscious assaults) swung the game, once the commandos turned up it was game over for the Germans. I personally blame the Ostruppen, they are now being sent to the eastern front.
