Relax soldier, Paris has fallen. You deserve a rest!
And another one from a cellar in Germany.
Airdropped Combat Engineers tried to secure a bridge (all about bridges) while also blowing up two bunkers on on each side of the ramps.
While the right units where at the wrong place (specialized at-units shooting at infantry, units attacking bunkers with small arms, reinforcement showing up somewhere) the attacker slowly but surely reduced the defenders……

German units had build a wooden aux bridge and an rubber boat pontons (mostly after some Kradschützen had caused accidents on the wooden bridge).

As a hodge-podge force of American tanks and a single M18 Hellcat entered the town, they happened upon a German tank patrol with a Tiger I leading the spearhead. During the initial engagement, a Panzer III, M3A3 Lee, and a Sherman Jumbo were swiftly destroyed. The battle raged on, with the M26 Pershing becoming immobilized after destroying a Panther G. The battle culminated with the insane heroism of the Hellcat, after taking out one Panzer IV, driving headlong at the Tiger to take a point blank shot, and his accuracy sang true. The Tiger went up in flames, and the Hellcat rampaged on, taking out a further two Panzer IVs, decisively ending the battle.
