Relax soldier, Paris has fallen. You deserve a rest!

A Company’s friends in the Royal Navy fought a Torpedo Run, trying to stop the Germans from being re-supplied. After several ineffective launches, one torpedo from Vosper 2 struck home, doing serious damage to the tanker. A fierce gun duel with the E-Boat finally resulted in it being sunk, and the heavily damaged British ships were able to finish off the tanker with their deck guns.

US landing near La Pointe du Hoc supported by Britsh paratroopers force who was supposed to secure and hold a coastal village 2 miles away from the coast.
After a difficult American breakthrough across the German defense lines, the GI’s manage to seize the two main bunkers.
On their side, the British paratroopers must hold the village and face a German counter-attack led by a motorized platoon of veterans and 2 Panzer 4.
After more than 5 hours of bitter fighting, the German counterattack is stopped, at the cost of heavy losses in the British Forces, the GIs manage to fight their way through the lines of German coastal defenses and the junction between the American infantry and the English paras is made around 5.00 pm.

Following the Airborne’s coup de main capture of the Caen Canal bridge they faced fierce and determined counterattacks throughout the course of the day by the 21st Panzer Div. The lightly armed Paras were in real danger of being pushed back on to the bridge itself until the timely arrival of Lord Lovatt’s Commando troop swung the fight in their favour.
