Neuville skirmish
The scenario was set up as close as able to the docket map as the attached photo.
The sniper duel last a lot of rounds with each side applying and being exposed to minuses. Eventually the Axis sniper got the better of the Ranger, obviously his Zeus made x6 rifle scope and the greater heat deviation of the K98 won through over the 1903 Spirngfield arrangement.
Following the conclusion of the sniper duel, the battle between the platoons began with fury. The German 1st activated first and using his increase national ability activated those with his and they all ran towards the barricade at the first T junction. The Ranger officer, BAR gunner and the medic all run forward and right to behind the first building on the right. Two of the German rifle men run towards the barricade near the fountain. The rest of the Ranger squad all ran to the same spot behind the building. The remaining two German riflemen both moved up to the far barricade.
First out the dice bag was the Axis side for the first few dice so those at the near barricade all set to ambush. These guys were armed with the SMGs and ARs so as to hopefully close the initial range. One by one the Rangers all ran around the building into the ambush set by the Fallschirmjagers.. The only one to make it to the wall was Pvt Mellish who had two pin markers. Sgt Horvarth was killed by the Axis Sniper from the church roof with an excellent head shot. Seeing nearly all his buddies all get shot and killed while just too far away to be able to help, the Allied Medic turned and fled across the road to try on run behind the opposite building.
On the next turn, the German officer activated those with him and they all turned and fired at the remaining offensive Ranger Pvt Mellish, he was riddled with numerous bullets from the SMGs and ARs. The remaining German riflemen in the far distance remained in ambush at the barricade.
On the third turn, on FJ trooper advanced and fired his FG42 at the medic very narrowly missing. A second FT trooper moved up to the first and set to ambush. The two SMG wielding troops (Officer and FJ trooper) started to move towards the other side of the building to potentially head off the Allied Medic. The rest of the Axis forces set to ambush.
On the fourth turn the Medic; ignoring advise to surrender tried to run but instead stumbled and went down. As he was trying to run the nearest FJ trooper shot him dead with his FG42 AR, thus concluded the scenario.
Overall, the relative inexperienced aspects of the Rangers at this point in the war showed when compared to the hard fought experience of the Fallschirmjager troops who had mostly all served in Afrika, Sicily, Russia and maybe also Narvik and Belgium for the older more veteran ones.

British paratroopers assaulted Pegasus Bridge. Despite heavy losses incurred on crash landings, Major Howard’s men overwhelmed the German defenses, secured the bridge, and repelled a hasty German counter attack thanks to a well-timed naval barrage catching the German column in the open. After the smoke cleared, Pegasus Bridge stood secure in British hands.

The 82nd Airborne accompanied by a squad of engineers and a section of Rangers aims to cross the grove and secure 9 tactical objectives. In front of her, a Panzer SS division, determined not to let go an inch of ground.
Supported by a Tiger, the SS camp on their positions but loose little by little, positions after positions.
The Sherman’s sacrifice that drew the Tiger into a trap was the real turning point of the game. Focused on the destruction of the enemy’s tank, the Tiger succumbs to the engineers’ flamethrower and sounds the death knell of the Axis forces. Allied victory: 9/0
