A crushing defeat for the pitiful axis powers. Counter battery fire neutralized the kraut artillery on turn 1 and Allied indirect fire were scoring hits on everything they targeted the whole game. For the U.S. infantry it was a game on maneuver and gaining ground and a full quarter of the men didn't even need to fire their weapons for the entire battle.
