Relax soldier, Paris has fallen. You deserve a rest!
Lt. Greenberg's platoon of A Company met a force of Germans in a French village for a battle of Maximum Attrition. Although a squad of the larger, less experienced Germans took refuge in a church, the Yanks were able to wipe them out completely, mostly due to the rifles and bayonets of Sergeant Stone's squad, who suffered many casualties. The survivors jeered at Sgt. Murphy's squad, calling them goldbrickers for being out of position for the action, after the Germans deployed in a refused flank.
