Canadian forces look upon the open beaches knowing it will be a hazardous time. The German forces catch them in their landing craft sending much of the Canadian armour to the deaths of the Atlantic. Without armour support the Canadian infantry could not advance up the beaches and history was re written with the stout German defences pushing them back and denying them a foothold in Normandy.
